Concept
After graduating from the Department of Crafts at Kanazawa College of Art, I studied under Shigeto Suzuta. During the several years I spent learning "Mokuhanzuri sarasa"(woodblock and stencil dyeing) , I realized that "secret books are just the base, not everything."And also During a time of worry, I was moved by the Portuguese tile pattern called azulejo, which changed mind , "patterns can save people!" This experience helped me find my direction.
Currently, I see traditional techniques as a key that connects areas of the past, future, and nature, and I'm creating works that will excite people's hearts, moving back and forth between constraints and freedom.
